Predicted Manchester United XI vs Tottenham: 3 changes from derby

Manchester United need to beat Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday to stay afloat in the race for a top four finish this season.

The last time these two teams faced off, the Reds won 3-0 but has a lot has changed in the dugout since then.

For starters, it will be Ralf Rangnick vs Antonio Conte on the touchline rather than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vs Nuno Espirito Santo.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani have both been declared fit and available for the game after missing last week’s Manchester derby defeat.

Luke Shaw has yet to test negative after contracting the coronavirus and Scott McTominay is a doubt with a call injury.

In our predicted XI this week, we are expecting three changes to the team that started the 4-1 defeat against Manchester City last weekend.

David de Gea starts between the sticks, with Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles operating in the full-back roles. Harry Maguire will captain the side and partner Raphael Varane in the heart of defence.

Fred will sit in midfield and allow Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba to pull the strings, while Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga run the flanks.

Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the line.

SN’s predicted Manchester United XI: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles; Fred, Fernandes, Pogba; Elanga, Ronaldo, Sancho.

Tottenham have injury problems of their own with Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tangana and Olivier Skipp all expected to miss the game.
