Bruno Fernandes will have options if he doesn’t extend his Manchester United contract which expires in 2025.

The Reds still have time to persuade the Portugal international to extend his deal, though the club will find themselves in a weaker position to negotiate if they fail to finish in the top four this season.

According to Fichajes, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in signing Fernandes.

A move to Man City seems unlikely for obvious reasons and United will be reluctant to sell one of their star players this summer before a new manager is appointed.

Barcelona and Real Madrid would seem more likely, given how many Portuguese footballers players dream of playing one of the two Spanish giants, but Fernandes will hopefully show that he is committed to playing for United.

The United fans love him and we’ve seen Real Madrid supporters turn on Cristiano Ronaldo in the past, so the grass isn’t always greener at the Bernabeu, although they manage to deliver silverware.

It goes without saying that losing Fernandes would come as a blow to United.
