A Look at Manchester United’s Transfer Options in 2022

Last summer, the Reds spent a whopping £150 million, bringing in the likes of Jaden Sancho, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane. Three great-quality players, but a lot of money to bring them in.

In the January transfer window of 2022 and on into the summer, it looks like United will have a lot of cash to spend yet again, more than all of their rivals: Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Apparently, they’ll have all of £243 million to spend this year!

That’s more money than you can win on literally any online sports betting site. However, there are a few jackpots out there that would definitely benefit some Premier League clubs, or perhaps more likely, some lucky punters. You can win millions with online sports betting if you find the right sites to play!

Finding the right sites to place your bets on your favourite sports teams isn’t always easy. Asiabet has got a list of all the best online sports betting sites for you to try out, so what are you waiting for? The sites that they feature offer excellent security with access to a great range of sports marketing, including amazing odds and bonuses. We’re not sure if you’ll be able to buy any high-profile footballers with the money you may win, but it could be a life-changing amount of cash, that’s for sure.

So, speaking of huge amounts of money, who exactly do Manchester United have their eyes on in terms of transfer targets this year?

Declan Rice

It looks like Manchester United’s number one priority for the transfer window this year is to sign a new midfielder, and one of those at the top of the list is current West Ham centre midfielder Declan Rice. However, they’ll need to cough up a crazy £100 million to do that. Is he worth it?

Ruben Neves

Another spectacular player who probably won’t cost quite as much as Rice is Wolves’ Ruben Neves. An amazing playmaker with a lethal long-range shot in his locker, this could be exactly the player we’re looking for.

Fabian Ruiz

Another potential contender for that midfield role is Napoli player Fabian Ruiz. However, United will have to do battle with Liverpool if they want to land him at the club. That could be easier said than done the way Liverpool have been playing as of late.

Everybody seems to want a piece of the action for Penang player Endrick. The midfielder isn’t even 16 years old. According to the Daily Mail, the player is so hyped that Palmeiras (his current side) are considering adding an £83 million release clause into his first professional contract with the club!

Fabio Vieira

Another hot property of a player is the Porto player Fabio Vieira. Across Europe, there are said to be 10 clubs keen to sign him. He must be doing something right in Portugal to attract that kind of attention!

Erik ten Hag

Ajax defender ten Hag has an amazing defence record from the Eredivisie, and we all know how good Ajax players have fared in the Premier League over the years. A tighten-up at the back would be a great thing for the United squad, so we’re really hoping this one lands.

Mauricio Pochettino

Okay, so this isn’t exactly a transfer target as such, but it is very exciting. The latest rumours show that Zinedine Zidane is about to become PSG manager, and that will free up the legendary Pochettino to take over the Red Devils.

And what about those on the way out?

One of the biggest talking points surrounding Man Utd at the moment is the fact that Paul Pogba’s contract is set to run out in the summer. It remains to be seen whether we can sign a deal with him or if he will leave as a free agent.

Pogba hasn’t been the happiest of players at the club, so there is a good chance he will be on his way out. That will be crushing to United fans! Whilst he still needs to decide his future, Pogba has made it pretty clear that he wants to become the highest-paid player in the League. You can read more about this in our other Stretty News article.

It’s also rumoured that United will be letting Van de Beek out on loan, perhaps in the summer. The young man hasn’t made a massive impact on the club since joining from Ajax, so perhaps it would be good for him to develop his skills elsewhere for a season or two.
