Manchester United fans will be able to exchange Mason Greenwood shirts for free

Manchester United have confirmed that fans wanting to exchange their shirts with Mason Greenwood’s name on the back will be able to do so for free!

The 20-year-old striker was arrested on Sunday following a string of allegations made against him after audio snippets and photos went viral on social media over the weekend.

Greater Manchester Police arrested Greenwood and he spent three nights in a cell being quizzed over the allegations.

Manchester United have already decided to suspend Greenwood until further notice, which means he will not train or take part in matches for the foreseeable future. The investigation is ongoing despite the player being released on bail this week.

A spokesman for the club has confirmed to The Sun that fans will be able to exchange their current shirts for a new one with a different player’s name on the back of it.

Football shirts – for adults or kids – are expensive these days. This is a good move from the club, though.

  1. I have ZERO sympathy for rapists. ZERO! But in the UK you are innocent till proven guilty. Mason Greenwood has been tried by social media and found guilty. There is no place for that in a civilised society Save your comments, sanctions and anger till he has been found guilty.
