Tuesday evening saw another statement from the GMP concerning the allegations surrounding Mason Greenwood.
BBC Sport claim the 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault on Sunday, but he has now been further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and making threats to kill.
The GMP have been granted more time to question Greenwood, after being given more time on Monday, but it sounds like they still have a lot of questioning to do on the matter. Magistrates had granted a second extension to keep the striker in custody until Wednesday.
Manchester United have already said Greenwood will not play for the club or report to training until further notice.
