Record-breaker Cristiano Ronaldo collected his special award for Top Goal Scorer of All-Time in Dubai this week, while away on holiday with his family.
Among Ronaldo’s many successes are those of having scored the most goals in the history of men’s football, as well as in the Champions League, the most prestigious competition in the game which has seen him go toe-to-toe with Lionel Messi for over a decade.
The Portuguese superstar will be hoping for a better second half of the season at United with the Reds currently looking a million miles off winning any silverware. Failure to address that is bound to upset one of the most competitive footballers we’ve ever seen.
However, Ronaldo looked happy collecting his award in Dubai, handed over by Globe Soccer, although he would probably prefer a Premier League title or an extra Ballon d’Or to add to his handsome tally.
Earlier today, the Manchester Evening News had pictures of Ronaldo meeting Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed.
Ralf Rangnick gave his players some time off but they’re expected back at Carrington for training this weekend in order to prepare for the upcoming FA Cup clash against Middlesborough.
We’re happy as long as he keeps scoring for United. Plus, a trophy at the end of the season would be the icing on the cake.
