Four managers are in the running to get the Manchester United job this summer.

Ralf Rangnick currently holds the position as interim manager, which he has until the end of the season when he moves upstairs into a consultancy role at the club.

That was the plan from the moment Manchester United decided to go down the route of hiring an interim manager and it doesn’t sound like Rangnick will be considered for the full-time role.

According to The Athletic, United are looking at Mauricio Pochettino, Erik ten Hag, Luis Enrique and Julen Lopetegui as their candidates to take over from Rangnick next season.

The best part of this update is that Brendan Rodgers is no longer being considered an option for the manager’s position.

Pochettino and Ten Hag have both been heavily linked with the job since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking, while Enrique and Lopetegui seem like managers with an outside chance of rocking up at Old Trafford next season.

They have all worked at big clubs across Europe so United are definitely seeking someone who has been there and done it before, unlike Solskjaer, but we can all recall how Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho struggled to deliver the Premier League.
