Although Jamie Carragher tries to wind us up most of the time, there is no denying that the former Liverpool defender has carved out a successful second career as a pundit.
Sky Sports have formed the unlikeliest of duo acts between Carragher and former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, and for the most part it makes for brilliant television.
They are an insightful pair who have both played the game at the highest level. On Sky, they can be accurate as well as interesting and funny, so you get more than just 90 minutes of football on your screens.
But we now know that Lionel Messi doesn’t value Carragher’s opinions and thinks he’s a donkey.
The former Barcelona star hit out at the Liverpool man for suggesting his move to Paris Saint-Germain wasn’t the best, when comparing it to Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to United.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner took the time to private message Carragher on Instagram and Neville found it hilarious when all was revealed on Friday Night Football.

Messi’s move to PSG was an odd one.
Obviously, the Ligue 1 side want to win the Champions League and adding Messi to the squad should help them achieve that, but I think Carragher was right to question it from the player’s side.
He left a club with history and tradition in an awful mess. Somewhere he will still be considered a legend despite leaving everything behind for an artificial football club.
