Manchester United are keen to open contract talks with Marcus Rashford before the end of the season, despite fears that his career development has stalled at Old Trafford.
Those fears come from unfortunate circumstances, like playing through injuries, which is something I think will catch up Rashford at some point.
According to the Daily Mail, Rashford faces a contract dilemma but the England international would “prefer” to stay with his boyhood club.
He will be aware that his next contract will tie him down to the club for the “peak years of his career”, so it will eventually come down to the player being loyal or deciding to pursue a new challenge.
Should Rashford stay or should he go?

Signing a long-term deal is always a big decision — especially when it’s a player like Rashford, who should be winning league titles and competing for the biggest honours in Europe.

You could say he’s living the dream as it is, earning £200,000-per-week at the club he supported as a child, but it’s concerning to hear that he may feel that his career has stalled.
Only a limited number of clubs would be able to meet his wage demands and they would likely be put off by Rashford’s performances this season. His confidence will gain a boost once he returns to the scoresheet after going 11 games without hitting the back of the net.
Hopefully Rashford signs a new deal at United.
