It isn’t often that Manchester United midfielder Fred is recongised for his creative ability. However, that may have to change after the Brazilian put in a genuinely stunning ball into the box for teammate Scott McTominay to get on the end of during Monday night’s Third Round FA Cup clash against Aston Villa.
Ralf Rangnick’s Red Devils, who are hosting Steven Gerrard’s Villa at Old Trafford, have taken an early lead to put them in pole position to face Middlesbrough in the competition’s Fourth Round.

United’s opening goal came after Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood refused to let Villa clear their lines.
Picking up the ball, Fred then proceeded to float a ball in towards McTominay who expertly nodded it beyond goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
