Manchester United will be without several first-team players for Monday night’s FA Cup Third Round tie against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.

Phil Jones, Jadon Sancho and star man Cristiano Ronaldo are all missing from interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s matchday squad due to niggling injuries.

However, despite otherwise naming his strongest possible 11, Rangnick has opted against including backup goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Spanish number one David De Gea, who recently saw the German manager heap the praise on after comparing him to Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer, will once again man-the-Old-Trafford-fort.

Manchester United’s Dean Henderson will not feature against Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

According to a recent claim from ESPN journalist Rob Dawson, Henderson, who trained with his teammates on Sunday, is not injured but did suffer a recent bout of illness.

In light of Henderson’s omission from Rangnick’s squad, fellow back-up shot-stopper Tom Heaton will take his place on the substitute’s bench.
