Manchester United dealt Bruno Fernandes blow ahead of Burnley clash

Bruno Fernandes picked up a yellow card in Manchester United’s pathetic 1-1 draw at Newcastle and he will miss his side’s next game against Burnley at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese midfielder picked up his fifth yellow card of the season for dissent, after he disputed a foul on David de Gea, but referee Craig Pawson was having none of it.

That means United will be without their No. 18 for their next Premier League fixture, though we can’t complain too much because his performances of late have been below bar. He spent more time complaining against Newcastle than he spent on the ball.

Moreover, his end product was dire, so this may grant Donny van de Beek a chance to play as a number 10 against Burnley.

Jadon Sancho is another player who could get the nod ahead of Fernandes.

United need to be a lot better than they were against Norwich City and Newcastle because Burnley will have every right to believe if United play so poorly.
