Anthony Martial holds talks with Ralf Rangnick over his future amid Sevilla rumours

It looks like Anthony Martial’s time at Manchester United is coming to an end.

According to the Daily Mail, the French forward held talks with Ralf Rangnick on Wednesday in an attempt to secure a move away next month.

Spanish publication Marca reckon Sevilla want to sign Martial in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old is keen on getting regular football and that was made harder at United in the summer following the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho. It might take a loan move to Sevilla to achieve that this season at least.

You could say his agent, Philippe Lamboley, got the ball rolling with a Sky Sports interview to announce his client’s desires to leave Old Trafford.

The decision to go public, prior to discussing the player’s future with the club, left Rangnick annoyed.

Lamboley said: “Anthony wishes to leave the club in January. He just needs to play. He doesn’t want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon.”

Martial is one of the first team players who has returned to Carrington for training this week, with the training ground closed down last week following the COVID-19 outbreak.

It is understood that the forward let Rangnick know his intention for the future.
