Man United attacker expected to depart in January transfer window

Resigned to a bit-part role, Manchester United attacker Amad could depart the club on loan in order to rack up some much-needed playing time.

That’s according to a recent claim from Dutch journalist Dennis van Eersel, who has said that he “expects ” something to happen with Amad during the January transfer window.

“[Tyrell] Malacia was slightly injured at one point, but was able to continue,” told FR12 via SportWitness.“But Feyenoord actually has no other left back. A left back would be nice.

“Feyenoord are still trying to see if they can get that boy from United: Amad Diallo. I expect something to happen during the winter break.”

Since joining the Red Devils last summer, although initially introduced by way of the club’s youth team, Amad was quickly promoted to the senior side but has since made just nine senior appearances, in all competitions.

The young Ivorian’s latest showing came last week when manager Ralf Rangnick named a heavily rotated team to face Young Boys in their final group game of this season’s Champions League.

When discussing the teenager’s inclusion last week, Rangnick wrote in his pre-match programme notes (as quoted by The Mirror):  “There will be chances for everybody to stake a claim. What I want to see is every single player striving to make the most of every chance they get.

“If everybody does that everybody benefits and we will keep moving in the right direction.”

However, with a wealth of attacking options at the German’s disposal and Amad being just 19-years-old and still relatively inexperienced, the wide-forward, who was a previous target for Feyenoord had it not have been for an untimely injury, could see a loan move finally materialise.
