There is no denying that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a class act.

According to the Daily Mail, the former Manchester United player and manager, who was sacked by the club in October, has sent an array of Christmas hampers to the training ground at Carrington for his old staff.

The wonderful gesture left staff members surprised and probably a little emotional, too.

It shows that Solskjaer is still held in great esteem among workers at United – as well as the fans who continue to sing his name on the terraces every week since his sacking — but that doesn’t surprise us given how he carried himself while in charge of the first team.

With some time off this year, Solskjaer will get to enjoy Christmas with his family.

United are currently three games into the interim reign of Ralf Rangnick, winning twice in the Premier League and picking up a draw in a Champions League dead rubber against Young Boys.

All eyes this morning will be on the Champions League round of 16 draw, but we’ll still take a moment to wish Solskjaer and his family a merry Christmas.
