Ajax boss Erik ten Hag is a strong candidate to become permanent manager at Manchester United.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick will only in charge of first team duties for six months before moving upstairs into a consultancy role and assisting the club in the process of hiring a new coach.
According to the Mirror, Ten Hag is the manager United are looking at closely, but it wasn’t long ago that it appeared as though Mauricio Pochettino would be returning to the Premier League for a stint at Old Trafford.
Pochettino could still make a claim for himself if Paris Saint-Germain were to win the Champions League this season, but there’s still some way to go in the competition.
The newspaper believes that the 51-year-old is seeking a new challenge, but his focus will be on finishing the current campaign with Ajax.
The Dutch giants won their opening six games this season in the Champions League, which they’ve never done before, and United seemingly believe he is the right man to bring the glory days back.
Ajax are also sitting on top of the Eredivisie table and could win their third successive title.

I initially felt that Rangnick’s appointment leaned more towards Ten Hag than Pochettino.
Now that United are trying to buy into a specific style of play, it should make it interesting to hear what these coaches think they could bring to table when the interview process comes around.
The Mirror’s report only strengthens my belief that it’s looking like it will be Ten Hag in the summer.
I personally prefered ajax head coach he can success to poch.. Becuz he will definitely flop at man utd,he lacks modern games masterminding…
Well, Pochettino did lead Spurs to a Champions League final by beating Ten Hag’s Ajax in the semi-finals.
I prefer Erick ten hang than ponchettino
