(Video) Victor Lindelof splits Crystal Palace defence with incredible long range pass

Sunday was a day to remember for the Manchester United back four as they kept their first clean sheet at Old Trafford since April.

The Reds got off to a perfect start under Ralf Rangnick – beating Crystal Palace 1-0 – but Victor Lindelof caught the eye with more than just his defending.

Fred will deservedly take all the headlines for his beautiful match-winner, but the overall performance was a lot better than what we’ve been subjected to since the beginning of the season.

Lindelof started alongside Harry Maguire and neither looked to crumble under the pressure. This was the first big sign of improvement because the defensive pair tend to be at fault for mistakes most weeks because of how United used to sit deep and invite the opposition to create chances.

It was a different story with the high line and United’s complete and utter control throughout the match.

Lindelof’s long range pass in the first half caught our attention.

The Swede receives the ball in his own half, looks up and sends a cushioned pass to Marcus Rashford. It was Cristiano Ronaldo who took the shot, but it was never beating the Palace goalkeeper.
