It would be safe to say Ralf Rangnick enjoyed his first match in charge.
Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 1-0, played with a high intensity in the first half, and ultimately controlled the game throughout.
The Reds created chances from the start but couldn’t find the back of the net before the referee blew the half-time whistle.
That was until an unexpected name popped up on the scoresheet to give United three points.
Fred scored a beautiful goal from outside the box to win the game and Rangnick could not contain his emotions on the touchline.
In the video below, Rangnick can be seen celebrating and punching the air after Fred netted the first goal of his reign as manager.

What a moment – for United, Rangnick and Fred.
We needed that but now it’s time to go on a run in the Premier League to move ahead of Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham.
