Man United midfielder picks up untimely injury during recent training session

New interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, has named his first-ever Manchester United starting 11.

The German tactician, who is currently preparing to face Patrick Vieria’s Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, has named an unchanged side to the one who beat Arsenal 3-2 earlier in the week.

However, despite the intriguing encounter, which is scheduled to kick off at 2pm (UK time), according to recent reports, the Red Devils will be without the use of midfielder Jesse Lingard.

That’s according to a recent report from ESPN’s Rob Dawson, who has claimed the English playmaker picked up an untimely injury during a recent training session.

Although Lingard would have been an outsider to start for Rangnick on Sunday afternoon, he would have certainly been hoping to feature from the bench.

However, after twisting his ankle earlier in the week, the midfielder is now set for a spell on the sidelines.

Hopefully, Rangnick will be able to elaborate on the extent of the attacker’s injury after Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
