(Video) Cristiano Ronaldo scores penalty to give United 3-2 lead over Arsenal

Cristiano Ronaldo stood up to the penalty spot and made it 3-2 to put Manchester United back in front against Arsenal.

Hopefully this time we’ll do a better job defending the lead, and not concede 3 minutes after going ahead like last time.

It initially looked like referee Martin Atkinson robbed United of yet another penalty as he dismissed the penalty shout from Fred, who had been clearly fouled by Arsenal goalscorer Martin Odegaard.

There is no denying that it was a stone wall penalty.

Atkinson was told to stop play as VAR intervened to call for a penalty. What was he thinking in the first place? It would’ve become one of the biggest stories in sport this week!

The excellent Ronaldo stood up and slotted home to score his second goal tonight.

United could do with a fourth at this stage, but it wouldn’t be a bad time to make a substitution. Maybe somebody like Donny van de Beek to help the team keep possession.

The defence is sitting deep and we are only inviting pressure when possession is lost.

Time for the lads to wake up!
