Jamie Carragher hits back after Rio Ferdinand mocks his playing career

Jamie Carragher and Rio Ferdinand won’t be sending each other a Christmas card.

As a pundit, can you name someone more unprofessional than Jamie Carragher?

Here you will read about another one of his spats on Twitter – where he completely forgets his role as Premier League commentator and becomes class clown.

This time the Liverpool legend, who supported Everton, has traded insults on social media with Rio Ferdinand.

Carragher has previously mocked the former Manchester United defender for his famous rant about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Earlier today, Ferdinand spoke on his own podcast about the sheer irony of Carragher talking about Premier League titles when he never managed to win it once in his career. He had a valid point after Carragher got into a heated argument with Roy Keane on Sunday during Sky Sports’ coverage of United’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

Carragher has now hit back at Ferdinand on Twitter – while adding some detail about how he was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea during his United days.

Ferdinand only spent one season at United following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

He joined Queens Park Rangers before retiring not long after that.
