Cristiano Ronaldo sends emotional message to Solskjaer after sacking

Cristiano Ronaldo has sent an emotional farewell message to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Manchester United decided to sack their manager.

The Norwegian was let go on Monday after weeks of speculation and it is understood that the club are in the process of finding an interim manager as well as a permanent solution for the summer.

Ronaldo can’t be happy with the results and we’ve not played well all season. He joined from Juventus in the summer with high expectations to take this team to the next level, but little did we know that the results were going to be this bad.

Something had to change and now we just hope it’s for the better.

The Portuguese superstar took to Twitter this morning to send his former manager and team-mate a warm message of thanks.

Ronaldo tweeted: “He’s been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and he’s been my coach since I came back to Man United. But most of all, Ole is an outstanding human being. I wish him the best in whatever his life has reserved for him.

“Good luck, my friend! You deserve it!”

Manchester United take on Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday night in a game they can’t afford to lose, really.

Ronaldo has been in goalscoring form in Europe and will be looking to add to his tally for the season to help Michael Carrick as caretaker manager.
