Fabrizio Romano rubs salt into Man United wounds as Italian expert weighs in on manager debate

Despite being Italian, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is a self-confessed Watford fan.

The Hornets, who hosted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League, have put on an absolute masterclass to beat the Red Devils a resounding 4-1.

Even Claudio Ranieri, the man who guided Leicester City to their famous title win back in 2016, probably couldn’t believe what he was watching this weekend.

After trailing two nill, a rare appearance from midfielder Donny van de Beek offered the Red Devils some hope after the Dutchman marked his introduction with a goal.

However, after failing to get back into the game, made harder by captain Harry Maguire seeing red, the Red Devils ended up falling to a brutal 4-1 defeat.

Solskjaer is, of course, under a world of pressure and could very well find himself sacked in the coming hours.

Reacting to Saturday’s stunning scenes, Romano, who boasts nearly 6m followers on Twitter, told his followers that a club’s manager can make all the difference when it comes to getting results.

Ouch.
