(Video) Zlatan Ibrahimovic brutally clatters Cesar Azpilicueta in World Cup qualifier

Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic left a mark on Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta with a shoulder charge during last night’s World Cup qualifier between Spain and Sweden in Seville.

A late winner by substitute Alvaro Morata secured Spain’s place in next year’s World Cup finals in Qatar, but Sweden can still qualify through the play-offs in March.

We saw from his time at Old Trafford that Ibrahimovic is a centre-forward who makes life very difficult for defenders. Not just in terms of scoring goals, which he has done throughout his career, but by having militant trait in his playing style.

Watch below as the AC Milan striker clattered into Azpilicueta.

It is not clear whether both players have previous beef but it’s another example of how Ibrahimovic lets his presence known on the pitch.

Even at the age of 40, the Sweden legend still has the same hunger for the game.

Unfortunately, Ibrahimovic will miss the first leg of Sweden’s World Cup qualifying play-off through suspension after his collision with Azpilicueta, as per reports in Norway.

TV cameras didn’t pick up on the yellow card but the report adds that Ibrahimovic was listed as a booked player in UEFA’s official match report.
