Joel Glazer has the final say on the future of Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Glazers, who took control of the club after a debt-ridden takeover in 2005, will unfortunately have their dirty hands all over the current managerial dilemma at Old Trafford.

Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano says it will be co-owner Joel Glazer who will have the final say on what the club will do with Solskjaer, with non-stop speculation in the media about his uncertain future after United’s shoddy start to the season.

The news comes a few days after another disappointing defeat at the hands of an arch-rival and fans have not got over the 5-0 drumming we suffered against Liverpool three weeks ago.

In terms of managerial candidates for the job, the Glazers have already passed on Antonio Conte after the Italian returned to work to manage Tottenham Hotspur.

Other names in the mix appear to be Erik ten Hag and Brendan Rodgers.

Not very convincing, is it?

Joel Glazer can’t let a club legend go through with this if results get any worse. Solskjaer has took the team so far, but the next step is proving difficult for him and his coaches.

I’m not sure what good dragging this out will do for Solskjaer, the team or the club.
