Donny van de Beek not returning to Ajax claims Fabrizio Romano

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano does not believe Donny van de Beek is destined for a return to Ajax in the January transfer window.

The Netherlands international has endured a difficult time at Manchester United and there are rumours circulating about his future.

It won’t come as a surprise to anybody that Van de Beek has not featured in any of United’s last five games, and it would be an even bigger surprise if he was to remain at the club after the winter transfer window.

Throughout his debut campaign at the club, the Dutch midfielder made regular appearances from the bench in a bid to edge his way into the manager’s plans but that never happened. It now seems like an impossible task for Van de Beek at United.

Romano took to Twitter to say there are no talks ongoing between Manchester United and Ajax for Van de Beek.

“There is nothing going on between Ajax and Manchester United for Donny van de Beek,” Romano tweeted.

“Rumours about a potential comeback in January are considered ‘fake’ by all parties involved as things stand now.”

The Italian journalist adds that the player could leave in January.

Will Van de Beek stay?

What is the point?

This is Van de Beek’s second season at the club and it is pretty clear at this point that he has not won over the trust of his manager.

It would be better for all parties involved to go their separate ways.
