According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid are back in the race to sign Paul Pogba.

AS claim Real Madrid will try to sign the 28-year-old Manchester United midfielder on a free transfer at the end of the season (via Manchester Evening News).

Pogba was quoted a few years ago saying it would be a ‘dream’ to play for Real Madrid, as per The Guardian, and the La Liga giants have reportedly been long-term admirers of the Frenchman and he has yet to commit his future to United.

Meanwhile, ABC suggest Madrid are ready to offer Pogba just under £12m-per-year with a transfer bonus of just over £25m.

It’s a huge issue for the club that someone of Pogba’s value can walk for free in the summer. United also find themselves in a similar situation with Jesse Lingard, though there is little comparison when it comes to both players and market value.

Real Madrid have the opportunity to speak to Pogba in January, unless he signs a new deal before then. Mino Raiola, the player’s infamous agent, will undoubtedly try to pull a few strings in their favour.
