Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard get a chance to shine for England tonight, at a time both players will be extra eager to impress.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger hasn’t hit the ground running in a United shirt, but he needs time to adapt to the Premier League. We signed Cristiano Ronaldo which at least bought him some time, so let’s be patient and wait for a great player to blossom.

It will be great to see him get a chance from the start tonight – knowing a good performance could help him with his United career too. There’s no denying what a boost a goal or assist would bring against Andorra tonight.

Lingard has been in top form this season – for club and country – so his place in the team is warranted for the fixture that it is.

Roma striker Tammy Abraham will lead the line for England, while Ben Chilwell and James Ward-Prowse are brought in after missing call-ups last month.

Former United academy graduate Sam Johnstone wins his third senior cap.

Summer target Kieran Trippier takes the armband for the Three Lions.

England XI: Johnstone; Trippier, Stones, Coady, Chilwell; Ward-Prowse, Foden, Lingard; Saka, Sancho, Abraham.
