Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly keen on signing an experienced striker.
And according to a report published in El Nacional, Manchester United forward Edison Cavani is a possible target in January, with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Radamel Falcao also being considered by the La Liga giants.
Cavani has done well at United and has at least one more year left of playing in Europe. It will be up for Madrid or maybe even United to persuade him to stay in the continent longer, though there has been plenty of reports suggesting Cavani will retire playing football in South America.
However, it now seems like Cavani will get less time on the pitch because of Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence, but fans will want to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer experiment by starting both players in games.
El Nacional claim Real now view the signing of Cavani as more realistic than Aubameyang or Falcao.
