Roma tracking Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot

Roma are eyeing a move for Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot in the January transfer window, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho’s outfit enjoyed a strong start to the Serie A season but Sunday’s capitulation at Hellas Verona suggested that defensive reinforcements may be required in the future.

According to Calciomercato, Jose Mourinho is contemplating whether to make a bid for a player he took to Old Trafford, in the shape of Diogo Dalot.

The 22-year-old has already played in Serie A with AC Milan last season, when he made 10 starts and 11 substitute outings during a loan spell.

Dalot has had 54 minutes on the pitch at United so far this term and as Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s back-up at right-back, he should get plenty of opportunities to play throughout the campaign.

The League Cup on Wednesday night gives the manager a chance to start the Portugal international.

It’s our second game against West Ham in four days and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to make some changes to his starting line-up.
