Who knew Steve Bruce had such a way with words?
Steve Bruce perfectly summed up Newcastle United’s performance at Old Trafford after the full-time whistle, but in hindsight probably wishes he wasn’t caught on camera.
Cristiano Ronaldo stole the headlines on his return to Old Trafford with two goals to sink Newcastle in their 4-1 defeat. Javier Manquillo scored a brilliant goal but the Magpies contributed to their own downfall.
They looked petrified from the very start whenever United moved the ball forward and it only seemed like a matter of time before we’d crack their defensive shell.
Newcastle’s time wasting start midway into the first-half when the scoreline was 0-0.
Anyhow, a TV camera captured Bruce walking towards the tunnel at the Stretford End and he appeared to tell one of his coaching staff: “F***ing s****.”
