Fred happy to see Cristiano Ronaldo pushing everyone at Manchester United training

Cristiano Ronaldo could make his second debut for Manchester United this weekend against Newcastle and he’s already been a massive hit at training sessions.

Manchester United midfielder Fred has lifted the lid on Ronaldo’s impact and says he is already pushing players to reach the next level.

Ronaldo, 36, is set for his homecoming at Old Trafford on Saturday and he will be doing all he can to ensure the team is successful after his return to the club.

The Portugal star returned early from the international break in order to be in contention for the game against Newcastle.

Fred believes Ronaldo is already having a positive impact on everybody at the club.

“It’s so good training with Cristiano, he is a very good guy, the best player you know about,” Fred told United Daily, as per The Mirror.

“We are so happy to have Cristiano here with us, and I hope he can bring us many titles at Manchester United.”

When asked if he looks sharp in training, Fred added: “Of course, yeah! He is an amazing player, you know the difference when you look at Cristiano Ronaldo.

“With the ball, without the ball, he works a lot and it’s so good for us. We are so happy to have Cristiano here.

“We know who Cristiano Ronaldo is because he likes to win, he pushes everyone, so you need to be at your best to get with him.

“It’s so good for us because he pushes everyone, we can win every game, so it’s so important.”

The signing of Ronaldo should bring an injection of belief into the camp. They should be confident about winning each match he starts – and the alternative options aren’t too bad either.

Edinson Cavani has an eye for goal and so does Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has no shortage of attacking options.
