According to recent reports, Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign Manchester United winger Daniel James.
That’s according to leading football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has claimed the Yorkshire side is close to reaching an agreement with the Red Devils that would see James move on a permanent deal.
James, 23, has been wanted by Leeds United for several seasons and after narrowly missing out on him during the winter window of 2019, it was always likely the Yorkshire side would try again further down the line.
After struggling to force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team plans, the Wales international now looks set to begin the next chapter in his career.

Romano has also noted that as well as Leeds United negotiating with the Red Devils, they’re also speaking to the player in an attempt to agree to personal terms.

James’ potential departure is understood to be due to Cristiano Ronaldo’s impending arrival with the 23-year-old set to fall even further down the side’s pecking order should he fail to secure a move away.
