(Video) Fabrizio Romano confirms Man United’s stance on Ruben Neves

Manchester United could really do with signing a new midfielder, but will they be able to bring in a suitable player before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month?

That is the one big question on the United faithful’s lips and only time will tell whether or not the club’s hierarchy can deliver a fourth summer signing.

Although another signing is likely to depend hugely on outgoings, speaking recently to The United Stand, leading journalist Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed that one player the Red Devils like is Wolves’ midfielder Ruben Neves.

“It depends on the outgoings,” Romano said. “He is one of the players on the list, yes, he’s always been one of the players on the list.

“They like Ruben Neves, but he’s not a priority, to be honest. So if some players leave, he could be one of the names.”

  1. Ole is a jinx to Utd. Even if you give him ronaldo and messi he wont win any trophy. His thought and actions tells everything about his lack of foresight. How can a club spend £115m on players and you still keep them benched. Look at chelsea and man city day one they hit the ground running.
That was how he killed Van de beek. Very daft. I with no experience in coaching would have subt De Gea during europa final for Henderson cos de gea has never save a penalty. But alas the idiot always enjoy seeing us into disaster.
    Better sack the idiot…
As 2nd position in football should not be celebrated. Is my thought

    1. Well said my friend… The big names are sitting on the bench, shouldn’t of bought them, then!!!

    1. That is if only he knows what he is doing. I dont know why his choice is on Fred and matic when VDB is available. The young man should seek for a move to rescue his career before it is late.
And for the surplus of players. I think Ole is suffering from a hoarding sickness. Otherwise why hold on to players that a beyond requirement. Sale them and fund the buying of Saul or nevez and we will be solid and feared by any club.
As for Pogba. Yes he is good but not world class. A world class player is humble and devoid of destractions and week in and out delivers. We have spent £89m and cant afford to loose him for free. They should have given him a deadline as per back as july to decide his future. That will have given us a leveraged to plan by selling him and buying a replacement.
Bet me Pogba is leaving and his aim is to hurt us by walking free next summer.
Pls sell Pogba in january if he refused to extend his stay.
      My candid opinion

  3. We need a striker more then a midfield. Martial has shown he’s not good enough. And Cavani and Greenwood are not going to get us that 20+ goals needed to bridge the gap on City with Kane and Lewonskie ( problely spelt wrong ) both available we should be acting now . Especially when Cavani will probably call it a day at the end of the season.

  4. Yves Bissouma would be a cheaper option then Neves and the guy looks extremely talented, strong and has been exciting to watch.

    1. I agree with u. You see we hardly get it right on transfer. Sincw when alex left. It is only this season that we used our money judiciously to make a good buy.
Look at Haaland that was given to us almost free at was it £18m atbut we couldnt forcast and see his talent.
Look at Lukaku. Ole arrogantly sold him and the result today is history. We dont have a coach. The Glazers can continue to hold on to their cheap material with no result.
But dont you think Alex is part of the problem. He neverhad any succession plan and today as a stake holder he is sitting enjoying our blunders happily without any success since he left. Man U will surely succeed beyond his records.

  5. Ole seems lost and devoid of ideas at times.
We cannot continue playing two defensive midfielders in all games. We lack a player like Keane or Carrick in that midfield.
He needs to offload a lot of the quantity players and get a box to box midfielder

    1. Man utd need a deep lying playmaker or a a ball winning mildfilder ( a complete no 4 )to support Pogba, this would enable Pogba to be more aggressive attack wise
