Premier League clubs have unanimously decided not to release players for international matches in red-list countries for the upcoming international break, an official statement from the Premier League states.
The decision, which has reluctantly been taken by all clubs and is strongly supported by the Premier League, comes after it was revealed that sporting quarantine exemption will not be applied this year, having done so last season.
Now, any player returning from international duty from a red-list country next month would have to quarantine for ten days upon their return to England, meaning that all players would miss the next two games following a break.

The Premier League doubled down on their stance and condemned FIFA for not extending their temporary release, and insisted that extensive talks have been held with The FA and the Government, although no agreement on exemption was found.
Before today’s breaking news, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been made to do without Fred and Edinson Cavani for the two games following next month’s international break, with the pair likely to be called up to their respective nations. Brazil and Uruguay are both currently red-listed.
