Bruno Fernandes stole the headlines earlier this weekend when he scored a breathtaking 25-yard free-kick against Everton in the convincing 4-0 win over Rafa Benitez’ side.
It only came in the first half but the match had already been decided. Manchester United were rampant out the blocks and smothered Everton, allowing them no time on the ball.
The encounter was similar to the 3-3 draw in the Premier League last season, with the only difference being that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side kept their intensity when the two sides made their way onto the pitch after the interval.

Diogo Dalot, who was a second-half substitute, scored United’s last goal in the closing exchanges of the game. The young Portuguese full-back connected well with Fred’s cross, finding the net with a looping header over Asmir Begovic.
It looked intentional but Fernandes clearly did not agree, shown by the 26-year-old immediately going onto the pitch after full time to let Dalot know that his effort was in fact a fluke.
