Raphael Varane is edging closer to completing his transfer to Manchester United.
The 28-year-old landed in Manchester on Thursday and reports as per Sky Sports claim his visa has been processed.
Varane faces a race against time to feature in United’s opening Premier League game against Leeds a week from Saturday. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will play their last pre-season friendly tomorrow versus Everton, but the former Real Madrid star won’t be available for selection.

The Daily Mail add to claims by reporting Varane is in Manchester ‘self-isolating before taking his United medical’, so realistically it will be the middle of next week by the time the deal gets wrapped up.
Ahead of his switch to Old Trafford, Varane posted a farewell message to Real Madrid on Instagram, and addressed his colleagues to thank them for 10 years at the Bernabeu.
After years of tracking the France defender, he’s finally ours.
