Jack Grealish looks set to join Manchester City after spending nine years at Aston Villa.
Although if you are a subscriber of the Stretty Newsletter, you would have already known that he was nailed on to join Pep Guardiola at City.
Some Reds may feel it’s an opportunity missed because Grealish is such a great talent, but that shipped sailed over a year ago and I am satisfied with this summer’s signings and what team is being built.
A number of the mainstream media outlets have ran reports this week with claims City are closing in on a deal that could be worth up to £100 million.
Even transfer guru Fabrizio Romano tackled the matter on Twitter: “Manchester United are now in direct contact with Aston Villa for Jack Grealish. Negotiations ongoing to reachan agreement – not gonna take long, decision to be made in the next days.
“Aston Villa have already offered Grealish a new contract. They hope to keep him.”

However, to put a funny slant on proceedings, Grealish has had to go through the effort of digging up old tweets which show his admiration for Manchester United is not lacking…

At least know who Grealish truly prefers.
