Man Utd set to keep winger despite interest from Premier League clubs

Manchester United are set to ignore interest from Premier League clubs and keep Daniel James ahead of the 2021/22 season, according to reports.

The pacey Manchester United and Wales winger has recently returned to the club following his involvement in this summer’s European Championship and is reportedly in Solskjaer’s plans for the new season.

Jadon Sancho was unveiled as the club’s second signing of the summer earlier this week but the capture of the former Manchester City youth star is not said to have changed United’s stance on James.

According to The Sun, the club intend to keep James this summer with Leeds and Brighton both interested in signing the former Swansea star. It’s claimed that both sides want to add James to their squads and will look at either buying or loaning the 23-year-old.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reluctant to let James go due to Rashford’s shoulder injury and could even reward him with a new contract, according to the report.
