Following recent reports that French World Cup winner Paul Pogba is a summer target for Paris-Saint Germain, Manchester United continue to be linked with midfielders – with the latest coming by way of Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski.
Zielinski, 27, joined Napoli in 2016 following a £14.4m move from domestic rivals Udinese.
Since arriving at the Serie A giants, the Poland international has gone on to feature in 239 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 60 goals, along the way.
Despite having a contract with Napoli that is set to run until at least 2024, with his employers also retaining the option to extend it by an additional year, the 26-year-old midfielder has recently seen his name linked with a big summer move to Old Trafford.
Italian outlet Corriere del Mezzogiorno (as relayed by MEN), have recently reported that the agent of the well-rounded midfielder has recently contacted Manchester United’s hierarchy over a possible summer transfer.
It has also been noted by the same outlet that the Red Devils’ domestic rivals Liverpool are also keen to strike a deal for the highly-rated Polish midfielder.
