Manchester United announced that Eric Ramsay had joined the coaching staff earlier this month after leaving a role at Chelsea U23’s. Solskjaer made the decision to recruit Ramsay ahead of the 2021/22 season and the young coach has been spotted giving tips to some of the club’s youngsters.

Ramsay has taken full charge of Solskjaer’s side on set-piece training and will also oversee individual sessions with some players. Manchester United conceded 14 goals from set-pieces in the Premier League last season, only Leeds United conceded more (15) but the Norwegian boss seems to have addressed the issue.

Ramsay is set for a first taste of match-day experience with Manchester United as a first pre-season fixture against Wayne Rooney’s Derby awaits and according to Manchester Evening News journalist Tyrone Marshall, he has been spotted giving some of the United youngsters tips prior to kick-off.

The 29-year-old was reportedly seen advising Facundo Pellistri and Shola Shoretire on their body positions, which indicates that the former Chelsea coach is already making his mark at the club. Although Ramsay is merely two weeks into the job, how United defend and attack set-pieces will also be telling.
