Fabrizio Romano confirms Man United are ready to negotiate with Rennes for Camavinga

According to a recent report, Manchester United and French side, Rennes are ready to begin formal negotiations for midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

That’s according to leading journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has written a column for SportsKeeda.

Romano has confirmed that the Red Devils are highly interested in landed the young midfielder.

Camavinga, 18, joined Rennes’ youth academy in 2013.

Since arriving with the club, the talented midfielder has gone on to force his way into the senior first-team where he has now made 82 appearances, in all competitions.

Not only has the teenager impressed domestically, after being awarded his first international cap last year, Camavinga also became the youngest player to represent his country in the last 100 years.

However, despite being his club’s most exciting player, with just 12-months left on his contract, it is becoming increasingly more likely that this summer will see the 18-year-old move on.

Romano claims that although Rennes have tried to get the youngster to renew his deal, Camavinga has ‘no intention’ to extend his current deal.

The Italian journalist also claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United are now prepared to ‘take advantage’ of the player’s situation where they will now put forward an offer.

United aren’t the only club interested in the teenager though – Romano has revealed that Paris-Saint Germain is big admirers but early signs indicate United could be frontrunners with Rennes asking for between €30m – €35m.
