Tottenham Hotspur set to rival Man United for Sevilla star

According to recent reports, Spanish side Sevilla are set to rival Manchester United for the signature of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

That’s according to a recent report from La Colina De Nervion, who claims that alongside United, who have never let their interest in the defender die down, Tottenham Hotspur are now also keen on signing the Frenchman.

Kounde, 22, joined Sevilla in 2019 following a £22.5m move from Bordeaux.

Since arriving at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, Kounde has featured in 89 matches, in all competitions and grown to become one of the league’s most highly-rated defenders.

Most recently in action for France during this summer’s delayed Euros, although the campaign ended in disappointment following a shock round of 16 exit, Kounde’s performances did his individual cause no harm.

In light of what has been a remarkable rise, the 22-year-old has been relentlessly linked with a big summer move, including to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.

Well, despite seemingly keen to sign Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, the latest in the ongoing Kounde saga, comes from Spanish reports, which claims the Red Devils are still interested in the French defender.

Elsewhere, since taking over from Jose Mourinho, new Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo would like to bring in Kounde, which. could be strengthened if Daniel Levy sanctions the possible sale of star striker Harry Kane.
