Fabrizio Romano reveals Man United closing in on signing £25m French wonderkid

Manchester United are reportedly ‘progressing’ in their pursuit of Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

That’s according to leading football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has recently revealed that the Red Devils’ hierarchy has been long-time admirers of the Frenchman.

Camavinga, 18, joined Rennes’ youth academy all the way back in 2013.

Since climbing through the club’s youth ranks, Camavinga has gone on to become one of his side’s most important players.

After enjoying a hugely impressive breakthrough, the highly-rated teenager has gone on to feature in 82 senior matches, in all competitions.

Most interestingly though, with just 12-months left on his current deal and with no signs of renewal, there are now growing concerns that the midfielder could be set for a big summer move.

Despite being previously linked with a stunning switch to Paris-Saint Germain, according to Romano, it is actually Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils that are leading the charge to secure his signature.

Romano claims that a deal within the region of £25m (€30m) could be on the cards.

This news comes just days after the club announced they have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for winger Jadon Sancho.

  1. Is not our priority we most have to have a standard defensive milfielder and central defense and another number 9 and number 2 as standby

    1. Very correct. Every time united misplaces their priority. They only need a CB, RB, 9 and CDM

  2. Wow😲😲… great news..we should get it done really soon..OLG no delays plsz🙏🙏..
Am sure he would be 1 of the best…

  3. I think we needed typically defensive midfielder and not him* for me Rice is a Good option

  4. As long as Camavinga is not coming to replace Pogba it is a big YES from me. Fred will remain the DM. Key factor is acquisition of a quality and experienced CB to lesson the burden in midfield, allow control of tempo, fluidity and creativity from the middle of the park

  5. Omo camavinga deal make sense die can’t wait for him to replace Fred the guy is like ndidi he has killer pass he can tackle and he is young I don’t know what is stopping us from getting the deal
