Erling Haaland calls for England to bring Sancho on v Germany

It’s goalless at half-time between England and Germany.

Gareth Southgate lined-up with a back five against the Germans and sacrificed one of his attacking players as a result, which probably helps explain why it has been a low-scoring affair so far.

Harry Kane had a chance in the first half but some last ditch defending stopped Germany conceding before the break. Mats Hummels made another important header earlier to prevent Kieran Trippier’s free-kick from reaching Kane inside the box.

The second half is underway and Southgate has yet to make a change.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland took to Twitter at half-time and called for Southgate to make use of Sancho against Germany. After all, he’s been playing either with or against these players for consecutive seasons and might have an idea about some of their weaknesses.

It’s not like the potential Manchester United signing hasn’t got a fantastic record in the Bundesliga, where he is considered one of the best players.
