According to recent reports, Manchester United has thrown their hat in the mix to sign Real Sociedad and Sweden striker Alexander Isak.
That’s according to a recent report from the Daily Star, who claims the Red Devils could turn their attention to the impressive youngster if Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland opts to remain in Germany.
Isak, 21, joined Real Sociedad in 2019 following a £5.85m move from Borussia Dortmund.
Since arriving in Spain, the young striker has gone on to feature in 89 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to an impressive 38 goals, along the way.
The 21-year-old’s continued and inspired form has recently seen him linked with moves to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Premier League duo Liverpool and Arsenal.
However, the latest reports come from the Daily Star, who believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could try and sign the Swedish striker if his pursuit of the world-class Haaland fails this summer.
Isak is currently valued at £36m (as per Transfermarkt), however, with three years still left on his deal, any potential negotiations are likely to be dictated by Real Sociedad.
