Turkish superclub Galatasaray has made an approach to sign Hannibal Mejbri, according to reports. Mejbri made his senior debut for Manchester United in the closing stages of last season and also featured for Tunisia, the first bit of senior action the youngster has seen.

But despite his tender age, Galatasaray is reportedly ready to take the midfielder on. The Turkish club lost their domestic league by just one goal, on goal difference, on the final day of the season and are now keen to add to their squad.

According to Fotomac, via Sport Witness, Galatasaray has presented United with a loan offer and is currently waiting for a response from the Old Trafford hierarchy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been inclined to give less experienced players the chance to develop at first-team level, with Mason Greenwood being the most prominent case.

Solskjær gave Greenwood his debut in that enthralling 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, and the forward-turned-winger hasn’t looked back since.

Hannibal Mejbri will be hoping for a similar development at the club should he stay, but regular football in a strong league could prove to be an invaluable experience ahead of a long career.
