Everton join Man United in hunt for Atletico Madrid defender

According to recent reports, Manchester United’s hierarchy remains interested in Atletico Madrid full-back Kieran Tripper and could look to secure a summer move.

That’s according to a recent report from the Daily Mail, who claims the England international is wanted by both United and Everton.

Tripper, 30, has just two years left on his current deal and despite enjoying a hugely successful season, could be offloaded as Atletico Madrid continue to feel the repercussions the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had.

Having recently helped the Spanish side to the La Liga title, Tripper’s latest campaign in Madrid could very well be last.

It has been noted that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an admirer of Trippier and would like to add him to his squad ranks to provide additional competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

It is not known exactly how much Atletico Madrid may demand for the talented full-back, however, the Daily Mail do believe the Spaniards are open to offers.

The outlet also claim alongside Trippier, Solskjaer is keen on Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
