Bruno Fernandes’ short 5-day break is over after the club season ended and the midfielder has now joined up with his national side as they prepare to enter the ‘group of death’ in this summers European Championships.
Fernandes is expected to be one of the stars of the tournament and will be one of the first names on their team-sheets and with a five-star season behind him for United, all eyes will be on the 26-year-old in just a few weeks.

The midfielder was welcomed back to greetings from the Portugal medical staff, as well some of his former Sporting teammates. Fernandes can also be seen in the video doing some simple legwork as he is eased into the training routines, which usually differ to those at club level.
Portugal are the reigning champions of the Euro’s and will be aiming to retain their trophy but will have their work cut out for them. In their group, France, Germany and Hungary await. Fernandes will be especially keen to get his hands on the trophy after missing out on a place in the final squad five years ago.
