Manchester United fans attacked by locals at bar in Gdansk

Three Manchester United fans have reportedly suffered minor injuries after being attacked in a bar in Gdansk.

We got word of violent activity late last night after 20-25 individuals dressed in balaclavas entered a pub full of Reds before kicking off.

BBC reporter Simon Stone heard the same and took his update to Twitter this morning.

The club are now said to be assisting those who were attacked and had things stolen.

United take on Villarreal in Gdansk – looking to end the season with a trophy – but the trouble last night didn’t involve both sets of supporters. It sounds like locals in the shape of Polish ultras were out to cause trouble.

Check out the video below:

Hopefully the rest of the trip is a pleasant one and United can come away from Gdansk with the trophy. It would be Solskjaer’s first as manager at Old Trafford.

A gateway for more success?
